1. Avocado toast

I am certainly guilty of this one. Whether you are paroling your favorite food accounts or simply checking out your friends’ latest posts, there is a strong probability that you will see a mouth-watering picture of avocado toast. While on one hand it may conjure jealousy because you may not be in any position to gain access to your own avocado toast, it may also get you through your class as you dream of putting your own filter on the photo you know you will take the next time you eat it.

2. The beach or whatever tropical destination you are at

These are typically seen over school breaks throughout the year and usually involve pictures of long stretches of white sand, a panorama of the ocean, or a half legs (or hot dogs?)/half pool image. These potentially cause the most envy because much of the time, the posters of these are enjoying hot weather and working on their tan while everyone else is suffering in sub-zero temperatures and clearing mounds of snow off their cars and driveways.

3. Anything with the caption "way up I feel blessed"

I’ve seen this lyric from Big Sean’s song “Blessings” used in a numerous number of ways. From pictures of those who have hiked their way to the top of a hill to others about to ski down a mountain, it seems to be a very popular way to caption pictures. I am still waiting for my chance to use it.

4. Tailgates

How else are we going to let everyone know that we are back at college and looking photo-ready with our best friends? Though most of us will admit we do not typically attend the actual football game that comes after, the tailgate is a good way to wear a cute sundress, hang out with your school alumni, and soak up the final weeks of sun—and show some school spirit for the cute quarterback.

5. John Lennon Wall in Prague (Study Abroad special edition)

With its colorful and vibrant appearance, the Lennon Wall is a prime spot for photography, so it makes sense that nearly every single Study Abroad student has Instagrammed an image of it. Usually accompanied by a deep lyric or quote and always by an eye-catching background, they never disappoint. Watch out for these ones your junior year as many students venture the globe and flock to this popular city.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
