We've all been there for the neon colors and zebra print phase. We've seen the dark lip liners and butterfly clips. We've worn the chokers and winged our eyeliner. However, there a few that remain strong through all the years and changes in our lives. Let's see what five items you should definitely have to ensure that your look will never go out of style!

1. Plain T-Shirt

Whether it is white, black, grey, or pink, you can never go wrong with a plain t-shirt. You could wear it with jeans, sweats, shorts, or leggings. Dress it up, dress it down; you can have about 10 different outfits based around the plain white tee.

Personally, I like pairing them with a pair of my favorite leggings, a jean jacket, and a pair of Toms. If anything, the plain white t-shirt should always be in your closet.

2. Hoops

Every girl knows that a pair of hoops not only can change an entire outfit, but it can change your entire mood. Whether you go with silver or gold, hoop earrings have the power to make you feel like a complete badass!

Want to dress up your sweats? Put on hoops! Want to complete your "night out" look? Hoops. Lunch date with your girls? You already know, hoops! They go with every style, outfit, and look, making them a trend that will NEVER go out of style.

3. Denim

Denim has been a huge part of our lives for nearly all of our lives. Where would we be without it? Having a pair of denim jeans, a jean jacket, a jean skirt, or even a jean dress... you can never go wrong and it will never go out of style. Once they got introduced to the fashion world, there was no going back.

You can do so much with it, even change the color if you're tired of the blue. Trade-in your black denim for the light blue washed-out look. Any way you wear denim, you know you are going to look amazing.

4. Lip Gloss

Lil' Mama knew what she was talking about when she said, "My lip gloss is poppin'." Lip gloss is one of those things that bring out the sex appeal in a woman (and who doesn't want to feel sexy?).

Putting on lip gloss goes with every outfit. Whether it's a night out or breakfast, lip gloss can assure you that you will look 20 times better just with the quick three-second application. Plus, did I mention how cheap lip gloss is and that you can find it almost anywhere?

5. A purse

No matter the style, color, or size, a purse is something that is a must-have. Not only will they never go out of style, but they are a necessity for the majority of women around the world. We carry everything in our purses (sometimes too much stuff), so we need a place to put all of our things.

Plus, they can complete a look. Wearing all black? Grab a bright-colored purse or compliment the outfit. Wearing a colorful outfit? Grade a nude or black purse to tone it down!

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
