I mean who doesn't love Disney? Moana, The Lion King, Beauty and The Beast, Frozen, and you can't forget Tangled.

1. The Fox and The Hound

Even as a 19, almost 20 years old, I can still learn a lesson or two from The Fox and The Hound. It teaches you friendship, and to love unconditionally no matter what. I mean if a bloodhound and a fox can get along, when they are supposed to be enemies, I think that we can all get along. I think the world could use a lesson from The Fox and The Hound, especially after those horrific acts Manchester and London.

2. Mulan

Who doesn't love a badass woman who goes to war for her dad and earns the respect from ALL of China and the Emperor? She fights for something that she believes in, that she can be whoever she wants to be no matter what people think or say. Believe in yourself no matter what, and maybe you can save China too.

3. The Lion King

Well, duh. This movie is on the list. You can learn so much from this movie. First off never trust your uncle, well that's a lie, you can usually trust your uncle. The big lesson from this movie is that you can't run from your past, that you have to face it head on and you can get past anything. Death is a part of life, ironically but it happens, it isn't fair but neither is life. You have to work for what you want and not expect it to happen on its own, you want something you have to go and get it yourself.

4. Frozen

Yes, this is on the list but I mean, you deny that there isn't a lesson in that movie. I love my sister and I don't know what I would do without her. It teaches you to love and support your family. While they make you angry and sad sometimes, they need you and you need them, they are your family and it's one of the many movies that teaches girls that you don't need a man to survive. Although technically Anna needs one cause you know true love's kiss saves everything, but the main focus is sisters and such.

5. Moana

Finally, a movie that doesn't have any romance at all. It's just about a girl who goes on a soul-searching trip across the great bug ocean, all while saving her island. I mean that's pretty badass. And her grandma? She's my favorite character. Moana is slowly becoming my favorite movie. It teaches you that you can do whatever you want. Go, live, and be yourself. I think that's all I think that Disney really asks for.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
