4 Sunsets That Are Much More Than They Seem...

I am such a simplistic person. I find so much joy in the little things in life. One of the "little things" I enjoy is sunsets. I could watch the sky for hours on end and watch God do His thing!

Sunsets with Family

This picture is one of my favorites not only because of the sunset, but because of the people around me. Although one of my favorite things in the world is looking at sunsets, I love being around my family and friends even more. On this particular night, my sister and I decided to have a little impromptu sleepover out on the trampoline. One of my favorite characteristics of my sister is how much she looks up to me. Since we were little, she has always asked my opinion on the outfit she is going to wear to school, asked me if I want to watch her favorite movie with her for the 700th time, and randomly invited me to her room for a sleepover. I love the times I get to spend with her because they are so authentic. When you put two of my favorite things together, my sister and sunsets, of course I am going to say yes! ;)

Sunsets with Memories

I love this picture because of the sweet memories it brings back. Recently, I attended my very last football game as a high school student. The times that I had under these stadium lights are some of the times I hold very close to my heart. I met new friends here, I laughed here (maybe sometimes a little too obnoxiously for the parents sitting behind me), I cried after losses here, and I celebrated after wins here. I will never forget the memories I have made beneath these sunsets.

Sunsets with Stories

Wow! Jesus really did that?! I find myself caught up in this fast-paced race called life ALL the time. I remember the exact moment I took this picture. I was getting frustrated because I wasn't getting the picture I wanted and I was running out of time. I knew the sunset would be gone soon, and I was stressed about getting the picture I had envisioned. After contemplating what to do, I decided to take a step back. I stepped back and it was all there in one frame. It is absolutely crazy how God does that to us! He is telling us to "take a step back" and we don't even listen! It is one of the hardest things to do. I challenge you when you get caught up in the middle of the race, just take a step back.

Sunsets with a Deeper Meaning

This one is my favorite one of them all because you can see what looks like the light at the end of the tunnel. As I said before, when I get caught up in the race, it gets hard to keep in mind what is at the finish line. One of my favorite things Trigg County High School has taught me is to set goals. No matter if I can accomplish this goal in one hour, one week, one year, or one decade, you should always set goals. When you're pushing forward and striving for more, make sure you don't get flooded by what is around you. Keep your eyes on the light at the end of the tunnel.

Being Invisible The Best Super Power

The best superpower ever? Being invisible of course. Imagine just being able to go from seen to unseen on a dime. Who wouldn't want to have the opportunity to be invisible? Superman and Batman have nothing on being invisible with their superhero abilities. Here are some things that you could do while being invisible, because being invisible can benefit your social life too.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
