Alright, kids, it’s that time of year again. The weather is colder, the days are shorter, and we are struggling to do all of our assignments and work.
That’s right, we are in mid-semester where we don’t really want to do anything because we have worked so much already and begin to slack off. So, here are some things that happen when we hit the mid-semester slump.
1. Everything — and I mean EVERYTHING — is done at the last minute.
If we have 10 assignments due on the exact same day, they are all getting done either the night before or the morning of. There is no other option.
2. You find yourself thinking about all of the other things you could be doing instead.
I could be doing my homework right now, or I could play ‘The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’ for the 100th time. I’m probably going to do that.
3. You’re constantly sleeping through your alarms.
Five alarms might be enough to wake us up in the morning. Or not. It could go either way.
4. A lack of motivation to go to class and work.
It is an internal struggle every morning about whether to get up and go to class or work or stay in bed the entire day.
