30 Thoughts You’ve Had While Attending Country Thunder

This past weekend, I went to my favorite four-day music festival, Country Thunder in Twin Lakes, Wis. As most of you can guess, it’s a massive country concert.

Country Thunder is a lot more than just the concerts. They have carnival rides, some really great corn dogs and my favorite: the mechanical bull. My friends and I are CT veterans and have been going for quite awhile. Our favorite part about it is the camping. Country Thunder is not the same unless you camp. You get about one hour of sleep every night from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m., that’s it. The campsites are crazy, people build stages, dance on top of RV’s and ride around in the back of jacked up pickup trucks. If you have never been, I suggest you go, and if you have, then this article will make the most sense to you. Here are the 30 thoughts you've had while attending Country Thunder.

1. How the hell do you set up this tent?
2. Wow there are a lot of confederate flags.
3. Look at how burnt that guy is.
4. Nice overalls.
5. What happens if you fall off the top of that RV?
6. I should not have done that beer bong, I should not have done that beer bong.
7. Let's make jungle juice!
8. How did I get mud on the back of my neck?
9. Why is my ankle so swollen?
10. Where am I?
11. Ten corn dogs in one day, yes please!
12. Why do all these kids look like they are 12?
13. Mechanical bull, let's go!
14. Wandering the campsites means instant friends.
15. Yes, going for a bumpy ride in the bed of a pickup is super comfy.
16. Hey, you -- yes, you 14-year-old girl -- put some clothes on.
17. God, I feel so inferior..
18. Yes, this game is my favorite!
19. Holy crap, that guy is bleeding.
20. Good-bye, dignity.
21. These tequila shots are a good idea.
22. Where did I get all these bruises?
23. How do I tell this 40 year-old to get away from me?
24. Wow, being on this dude's shoulders makes me feel so tall.
25. OMG, (so and so performer) is so hot!
26. Hahaha, look at that guy who just face planted!
27. My feet hurt.
28. Ew, I need a shower.
29. Red Solo cup, I fill you up!
30. Where the hell did all my money go?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
