If you enjoy reading, you know what I am talking about. There is that one book that you always go to when you want to be enveloped in a story again, or when you want to feel something different. I have quite a few of these books. Here is a list of about 3 of my TOP books.
1. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling
Yeah, I know. How unoriginal. Well I was became a potterhead later in life and I can say that I loved these books so much. I have read all of them so many times that I can't even tell you how many. We all know the premise even if we haven't read the books, so here is a simple summary of the book.
Harry Potter is a wizard! He must develop his magical skills, while being abused by his aunt, uncle, and cousin. If he doesn't successfully develop his skills in the magical world, he will not be successful in defeated Voldemort, which he was prophesied to do.
2. The Selection by Kiera Cass
"For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon." Well that may sound fine and dandy, but for America Singer, she couldn't imagine a worse thing for her life. She was selected, but that means she has to leave Aspen. What's going to happen? Read and find out.
3. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
For Cath, being a fan is her life—and she’s really good at it. She and her twin sister, Wren, ensconced themselves in the Simon Snow series when they were just kids; it’s what got them through their mother leaving. Now that they’re going to college, Wren has told Cath she doesn’t want to be roommates. Cath is on her own, completely outside of her comfort zone. Cath is in a world all her own, and she doesn't quite know how to handle it. Can she do this? Does she want to?
