25 Things All Walt Disney World Addicts Understand

Walt Disney World is the most magical place on earth. Yes, it may be a replica of Disneyland, but it is bigger and better than the original. If you grew up loving all things Disney, then you know just how amazing WDW is. Disney World makes everything better, and can make anyone feel young at heart.

So here's to all those who are Walt Disney World addicts. Those who crave the magical feeling of walking down Main Street, USA. The sights, scents, and overall atmosphere of Disney World create an experience that is unlike any other.

Here are 25 signs that you may be obsessed with Disney World:

1. You will forever be thankful for your fast-pass runner

All Disney addicts know the importance of fast-pass runners. Thanks for all your years of service.

2. You have a love/hate relationship with the magic band

It’s cool having your entire vacation on your wrist. But at the same time I miss deciding what I wanted to do that morning, and not having everything pre-planned.

3. If a line is too long, you don’t wait on it

You should never hear someone say, “I waited 3 hours for Space Mountain." No no no, if the line is too long, wait for a parade or show and go when the line dies down.

4. You get VERY upset if your favorite ride is closed for refurbishment while you are there

It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve been on said ride, that one time that you can’t will just about bring tears to your eyes.

5. You know the perfect spot to stand for Wishes

Personally, my favorite is waiting for the walkways to close up as the show starts, and then BAM perfect view.

6. Fantasmic! is amazing every time you see it

Yes it’s the same every time, but it’s arguably the most amazing show that Disney World has to offer. Somehow they manage to do this amazing performance 1-2 times every single night.

7. You have the app and check wait times when you aren’t even in the park

The My Disney Experience App is the best thing to happen to you in recent years, but also the worst when you are sitting at home looking at the 5 minute line for Space Mountain that you could be on right now.

8. You still call it MGM instead of Hollywood Studios

And you get mad when people correct you.

9. You don’t need a map for any park

You can get yourself to any attraction or spot in the park in less than 5 minutes, all without a map.

10. You can quote any ride in the parks

This includes the monorail: “Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas!”

11. You are well aware that Disney World around Christmas is extra magical

The Osborne Family Christmas lights, huge ginger-bread houses, massive Christmas trees, and so so so much more.

12. You have the soundtracks to Wishes, Fantasmic, and so many more shows memorized

And you’ve just about memorized Celebrate the Magic.

13. It is just common knowledge that Spectromagic was SO much better than the Main Street Electrical Parade

If you remember Spectromagic, you had an awesome childhood.

14. You know when the best time to go to the hotel and nap/go to the pool is

Of course I’m referring to mid-day when it’s the hottest and the park is super crowded.

15. Whenever something new comes to a park you are overly excited

It might be the only thing to make you wait on a line longer than an hour.

16. But, whenever a ride closes, you feel slightly heartbroken

When you were finally old enough to go on Alien Encounter, they changed it to Stitches Great Escape.

17. Disney news is the most interesting kind of news

Nothing else catches your eye in quite the same way.

18. You know ridiculous amounts of random Disney facts

And feel bad when they play Disney Trivia at the pool and you beat every little kid.

19. You take it as a personal offense when someone doesn’t like Disney World

Because everyone should be a Disney freak.

20. Rain does not stop the fun when you’re at the park

More rain=less people.

21. Parades annoy you more than anything because it’s hard to get around

Parades mean shorter lines but also ridiculous crowds that are nearly impossible to get through.

22. You are always planning a trip

You take Mickey’s “See ya real soon” very literally.

23. You become 5 years old again the moment you enter Disney property

Sometimes the kids have to become the parents, because their parents become the kids.

24. When you see “Welcome Home” you automatically think Disney

There’s really no place like home.

25. You understand that it really is magical

Hearing a quote from Walt Disney while walking down Main Street USA will surely give you the chills.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
