21 Thoughts On The Night Before Your 21st Birthday

The night before your 21st birthday is filled with anticipation. Much like a child anticipating their first trip to Disney world, you’ve probably counted down to the moment the day arrived. Just like that child, we are naïve to the world of being legal to drink, and sometimes our expectations don’t always match up with reality. Whether you celebrated at midnight or the day-of, chances are your thought process was a little like this:

1. OMG THE DAY IS ALMOST HERE.

2. I’ve been waiting for this day my whole life.

3. I’m finally going to legally drink.

4. I’m finally going to see what all the hype is about.

5. I’m finally going to go to the bars with my big.

6. Wow finally. (!!!!)

7. FINALLY. (!!!!!!!)

8. What if the bouncer still doesn’t believe I’m 21?

9. Should I bring my passport?

10. Should I bring my birth certificate?

11. That picture from my license is really old.

12.  I definitely don’t look like that anymore.

13. What if the bouncer still doesn’t think its me?

14. Nah I’m fine I haven’t changed at all.

15. Wow I'm so excited.

16. This is going to be so much better than frat parties.

17. Everyone’s going to buy me drinks, right??

18. That’s how it works, right??

19. $20 is all I need for the night, right???

20. So excited, so excited, so excited.

21. I’M FINALLY 21.

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer. Bruce Springsteen's Top 7 Lyrics

Everything Bruce says in his classic rock songs.

bruce springsteen album cover born in the usa

Anyone who was born and raised in New Jersey (or anywhere really) knows of Bruce Springsteen, whether or not they like him is a whole other situation. I hope that his hundreds of classic rock songs and famous high energy performances, even in his sixties he can put on better concerts than people half his age, are at least recognizable to people of all ages. Love him or hate him (I identify with the former) you have to admit that some of his songs and interviews have inspirational quotes and lyrics.
