Ohio, the Buckeye state. Growing up, you have a love/hate relationship with the state. Sometimes there are just some definitive traits that show you're definitely from Ohio and you didn't even realize that you have them. Whether you love or hate the state, here are 21 signs you grew up in Ohio.

1. You're unfazed by the bipolar weather.

In Ohio, you'll wake up and it'll be cold and rainy and then sunny and 75 degrees by 2 p.m. You know there are only two seasons: Summer and Winter. (These may occur on the same day.) If you count “construction” as a season, then there are three.

2. Chili most certainly DOES belong on spaghetti.

And Skyline IS Better than Gold Star.

3. "OHIO" is often spelled out with people's arms.

4. You often give directions using time measurements.

As in “It’s 30 Minutes Outside of Cincinnati.”

5. You can’t possibly fathom someone not having A/C during the summer, because Ohio summers are disgustingly hot.

6. You regard going to Cedar Point or Kings Island As “Vacation.”

7. You know your carbonated beverages to be “Pop,” not “Soda.”

Anything else is just wrong.

8. You know the real Miami University isn’t in Florida.

9. When you yell "O-H!" someone will definitely yell "I-O!" back at you.

10. Stores Are Referred to in Their Possessive Form... "Kroger's," "Meijer's," etc.

Why? Even we don’t know.

11. It's B-Dubs. Not Buffalo Wild Wings.

12. You're guaranteed to see either a deer or a deer crossing sign anywhere you drive.

…and hitting deer while driving is an actual concern.

13. Your choices for entertainment can be summed up in three words: Mall, Movies and Food.

14. You know that every outdoor event calls for a game of Corn Hole.

15. You get really excited when Glee references Ohio…

16. Or when any other TV show or movie mentions Ohio.

17. Graeter's Ice Cream is heavenly.

18. If you did not grow up in the cities of Columbus, Cleveland Or Cincinnati... You probably grew up across the street from a corn field.

19. All eyes are on Ohio during the presidential election.

Ohio is a swing state, which means, if a presidential candidate wins in a swing state, they have a VERY good chance of winning the presidency. That also means you have to unplug your phone line every fourth year in October to avoid those pesky candidates phone ads or surveys.

20. Ohio is famous because of a gorilla and a hippo.

Cincinnati, Ohio, made headlines when Harambe the gorilla was killed in 2016 after a child fell into the gorilla den which then erupted into controversy. The Cincinnati Zoo also made headlines in 2017 when it seemed like the whole world was following the life of Fiona the baby hippo. Fiona dazzled on camera and stole everyone's heart who followed her story.

21. You’ve Had More Than Your Fair Share of Snow Days and Even “Cold Days.”

Being from Ohio is definitely a blessing and a curse. I have amazing friends and family that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. As much as I would love to live in California or on the west coast, I would miss the ways of life here. Ohio is where I came from. Ohio is home.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
