It's that time of semester! You know what that means! All of life's problems will be coming at you at full force so prepare yourself for the hurricanes, tsunamis, avalanches, tornadoes, earthquakes, fires, flooding, and worst of all...toddlers that are coming your way!

1. When it’s a month before exams and I see the storm is a-brewin', it must be time for me to start planning and studying. Lol jk no.

2. Oh look! It’s an avalanche of work coming at me! Let me just stand here and not do anything about it.

3. Professors: "That avalanche of work was not enough. Let’s throw four more papers into the mix."

4. When Black Friday got me in a Christmas mood but then I come back to school for finals and it crushed all my hopes and dreams.

5. When I'm watching a deadline creep up on me and I haven’t even started.

6. When I have two tests, a paper, and a presentation on Monday and I decided to wait to do all of it on Sunday. I'm literally digging myself into a hole.

7. Me procrastinating.

8. When the first exam of the week hits.

9. Finals taking over campus

10. Here's what it looks like on campus as of right now.

11. When I pull an all-nighter and then try getting ready to go to my 8 a.m.

12. I need this Starbucks so I can function properly and study but I’m too tired to even get that right.

13. If I drown myself in Starbucks and Red Bull, I will conquer this week.

14. When someone says, “Hey, how are you?”

15. I just want to be lit on a Thursday night but I have too many exams to study for and papers due that are just killing my vibe.

16. When you're taking a break from studying and everything is sunshine and rainbows but you know it will only last a few minutes...or hours, depending on your motivation level.

17. I’m just going to drop whatever I’m doing and take a nap right here, on a beach.

18. Trying not to drown in all this work

19. When you're a survivor.

20. And now your face looks like this because all you can think about is Christmas.

Good luck to everyone who is participating in Finals Week Fall Semester 2015. May the odds be ever in your favor and congratulations to everyone who survives!

15 Times "Parks and Recreation" Summed Up Your Library Experience

"I've only slept nine hours over the past four days, so I'm right on the verge of a nervous breakdown." - Leslie Knope

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

1. When you've finally found the energy to leave your dorm room and walk into the lib like

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
