The verdict is still out on this one. Their parent company still tests on animals (L'Oreal) but they are cruelty-free and Leaping-Bunny certified.

2. Too Faced

A company owned by Estee Lauder that really is committed to giving you everything cruelty-free and vegan friendly. Their brushes are synthetic and let's not forget they have on the the best mascaras on the market.

3. Milk

They offer some great staples and are more of a "quick" makeup brand. They are more focused on the natural look and offer some amazing products to help you achieve it.

4. Kat Von D

Talk about a versatile makeup line. She has some out there shades and some great neutrals. She keeps her line fairly-priced and don't forget about that tattoo cover-up!

5. Tarte

A brand we all know and love. Tarte offers some great products that are not only cruelty-free but free from parabens, synthetic fragrance, petrochemicals, GMOs, and gluten.

6. BareMinerals

Another company who's parent parent company isn't cruelty free (Shiseido) but is still an amazing brand. The mineral powders feel light on your face and they have branched out into a few other products too.

7. Lush

While they don't make a lot of makeup they make some great products for your skin to help with your makeup. A huge plus with them is that everything smells really nice.

8. ELF

Can you say affordable? They offer a wide variety of products, that only continue to grow, and will stay on all day long. With this brand you definitely get more than what you pay for.

9. Milani

A brand that has recently been reviewed by beauty guru Jeffree Star, and approved. They offer a wide variety of shades in lipsticks that will last you all day.

10. Physicians Formula

Finally a makeup line that is allergen friendly. Most of their products avoid using things that cause people with sensitive skin breakouts and other issues. One of the crowd favorites are their Shimmer Bricks which you can use as highlighters or eye shadows.

11. Wet n Wild

While they make some great products at a great price, you sometimes get what you pay for. They do offer some fun lip colors and other items in some out there colors as well.

12. Nyx

Their lip colors, especially the matte lip creams, are amazing.

13. Pixi

Some serious quality in their formulas and it is carried at Target? Literally every girls dream.

14. Pacifica

As a brand they are vegan and "greener" than most other companies. Outside of makeup they have some great skin care from lotions to sunscreen.

15. Colourpop

A brand that makes some great eye shadows in a wide variety of colors AND different finishes?? How could you not like them?

16. Ben Nye

Great products. Awesome pigmentation. Lots of fun colors to play with.

17. Covergirl

A great go to drug store brand that has been around for a while. Personally I am a big fan of their lipsticks and that's what I love most but their makeup will last you all day and you won't feel like you have so much on.

18. Jeffree Star

Let's talk top of the line makeup brands. He has made some AMAZING products and they aren't overpriced like you see some celebrities doing these days. He offers a wide variety of products and for sure has at least one thing you will love.
