Grey's Anatomy

We all know and love one of the biggest characters in "Grey's Anatomy" history, Cristina Yang. Known for starting the phrase, "You're my person" and calling Derek Shepherd, "McDreamy," and countless other quotes, she in many ways is probably one of the biggest relatable characters on television; even though her character moved across the sea and isn't on the show anymore, she's still one of our favorites. So, here are 17 reasons why Cristina Yang was someone we could all relate to.

1. She knew she was brilliant and didn't apologize for it.

2. She knew the real meaning behind social gatherings (and the holidays).

3. She knew the value in always finding something to learn from (like Ellis's journals).

4. She understood that not everything is what it's cracked up to be.

5. She had the confidence that we all wished we did.

6. She was probably one of the queens of sass.

7. And sarcasm.

8. She knew how to motivate others.

9. She knew guys shouldn't define a person.

10. And knew what was up with guys in general.

11. She knew the value of her best friend.

12. She knew nothing is ever completely perfect.

13. She doesn't sugarcoat her thoughts.

14. She also wasn't afraid to ask for the rewards when she deserved them.

15. She knew what missing out on sleep could do to you.

16. She also knew that it was easier to dance out frustrations than discuss them to death.

17. And of course, she created the best kind of friendship goals.

Cristina Yang, we love you. (Come back to "Grey's!")

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
