17 Songs From Summer 2007 That Still Go Hard In Summer 2017
Interscope Records

These songs were all on the Billboard's Top during summer 2007, and I'm sure they'll be there this summer, too! Well, maybe not the Billboard top, but definitely my personal top. These songs may be ten years old, but let's be real... we all still listen to these songs.

1. Hey There Delilah - Plain White T's

You'd be lying if you said you never swooned at this song. I saw the Plain White T's two summers ago, and man they were great.

2. Girlfriend - Avril Lavigne

Old school Avril was every one's sh*t back in middle school. I remember listening to this song on repeat for probably three years straight.

3. Umbrella - Rhianna ft Jay-Z

Classic Rhianna. That's all.

4. U + Ur Hand - P!nk

P!nk was so badass. What's she up to now, anyway? Doesn't matter. I'll always rock out to anything she sings.

5. Makes Me Wonder - Maroon 5

Seriously. This song is still on the radio all the time. I don't remember ever learning the lyrics, yet I always sing along.

6. Beautiful Girls - Sean Kingston

This song brings back so many memories of swimming in my best friend's pool in summer 2007. In general, this song just makes me thing of summer. Bless this song. And bless poor Sean Kingston who's been hit by them death hoaxes.

7. Big Girls Don't Cry - Fergie

This is another song from 2006 that made it to summer 2007. No summer in the 2000s was complete from Fergie.

8. Crank That - Soulja Boy

I remember where I was the first time I heard this song. I also remember dancing to this just a few months ago. You just can't not crank dat when this song comes on.

9. Thnks fr th mmrs - Fall Out Boy

I have a feeling that this song will definitely be relevant this summer since FOB just announced their new album and fall 2017 tour! Thnks, FOB.

10. Before He Cheats - Carrie Underwood

This song is actually from 2005, but Carrie Underwood killed the music world with this song...and still is, honestly. Never be afraid to belt out to this song, y'all

11. Pop Lock & Drop It - Huey

How do I know this song will be relevant this summer? I was pop, locking, and dropping it like a month ago. So...

12. Apologize - OneRepublic ft Timbaland

Hearing this song live a few summers ago nine rows away from the stage was amazing. I do not apologize for how much I spent on those tickets.

13. Smack That - Akon ft Eminem

You can't even lie that you didn't jam out to this.

14. Stronger - Kanye West

Definitely a staple summer 2007 song. And shout out to Daft Punk for "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger."

15. Welcome to the Black Parade - My Chemical Romance

If you didn't feel this song in your soul in 2007 (or now, tbh), you're lying.

16. Sweet Escape - Gwen Stefani ft Akon

This song literally played on the radio this morning.

17. Summer Love - Justin Timberlake

Another 2006 song, but this one had to continue to 2007 since it just can't be summer (love) without him.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
