17 Facts I've Learned From The Radio Recently
Fast Track Teaching

Picture this: you are back in the olden days. I'm talking, like, before aux cords and even CDs. You get in your car and you decide that you need a little car tunes in your life (and I'm not talking about Tom and Jerry here people), so you crank up your local radio station for the latest hits. Now take that old fashioned idea of listening to the radio and fast forward to present day.

As of late, I've decided to listen to more of the radio. In a way I feel like I had entered a music rut, so to speak. I've been indecisive when I get in the car to head to school, and so lately I've been letting the radio decide for me. Unfortunately, the radio has fallen into the same rut I have. The radio has started playing the same songs over and over and over again until Justin Bieber is still ringing in your ears when your head finally hits the pillow at night. Despite this rather annoying cycle of songs, I have found the radio to be quite educational. Here is what I have learned.

1. Charlie and Selena don't talk anymore.

2. Adele is spending too much money on stamps.

3. Rovers are expensive.

4. Sia doesn't need dollar bills to have fun tonight.

5. Shawn Mendes will treat me better.

6. I have a friend in the diamond business.

7. I should feel #blessed that she's looking at me.

8. The Biebs isn't scared of water.

9. To take some Holy Water with me when I hang out with Twenty One Pilots, just in case.

10. The ladies of Fifth Harmony are all for online classes where you can work from home.

11. Life is drink and love's a drug.

12. Shoulder tattoos are a bad idea.

13. Drake is the absolute worst dance partner. One and done apparently.

14. Mendes needs medical attention.

15. Justin just really wants to apologize.

16. Joe Jonas has a sweet tooth.

17. Someone in Boulder is missing a mattress.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
