15 Thoughts A Northerner Has When It Snows In The South

A lot of people today that live in the North are getting tired of the constant snow and freezing temperatures. So a solution to escaping the brutal North is to be in the sunny and warm South, where everyone tells you it NEVER gets cold.

I moved from New York to South Carolina because of those same lies. Yes, that's right. Lies. It is currently SNOWING where I live.

Here are some thoughts a northerner like me would have:

1. "Um, why is it snowing?"

2. "When is it going to stop?"

3. "Did we not move South enough?"

4. "I definitely have to show my family up North."

5. "Is this going to turn into black ice because — God, no."

6. "Why is everyone getting excited?"

7. "I can't wait to sit in bed all day."

8. "Dang, I kinda miss the north now."

9. "IS MY DOG GOING TO LIKE IT?"

10. "Oh my god, my dog is so cute playing in the snow."

11. "Everything I was told was a lie."

12. "This is nothing compared to back home."

13. "Why is the whole city shutting down?"

14. "School is canceled? Back home we'd still have to go."

15. "I kinda like it a lot.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
