Yes, having an older can be annoying growing up, but in a way it can be fun if you ever learned how to be a manipulative little sister like I was. Haha, of course nothing but tough love for all his years of torturing you and never leaving you alone, he deserved some punishment. Here is a list of 15 things you can relate to if you grew up with an older brother:

1. You feel like every time you went to do something like watch a movie in the basement, they magically decided they wanted to do the same thing, and then you would have to fight over who gets to control the remote

2. Even though mom would never choose favorites, you knew you were always her favorite and you were always dad's "little princess"... so basically there was no room for him

3. He would always try to make you feel bad since he was born first, and since you were the second born, it was "clear" that he was better

4. When you were about to get in trouble, you would always find a way to blame it on him or pretend that he was the one who hit you first

5. You had those friends who were weirdly obsessed with your brother and they would come over just for him or always ask about him...but you have to admit, there were times where you were scoping out his friends as well..

6. As you got older, you parents kept telling you that you couldn't do things that he had always done at that age... double standards, SMH

7. When people ask you if you're close with your brother you never know what to say because 99% of the time you're trying to kill each other, but you can't forget about that 1% where you actually are nice to each other

8. The most common battle is who gets shot-gun and the other person always acts like its the end of the world when they don't get it, and they sure don't give up without a fight

9. He always tried to convince you that you were adopted, even though everyone always tells you you look alike

10. You were never capable of sharing and to this day, don't think it's even possible

11. He would always find a way to trick you, creep you out, or scare you so you always had to be on your toes

12. Whatever you were arguing about, as long as you were the one who ended up crying, you would win and your parents would blame him

13. He was always too cool to play with you, and obviously wouldn't play with your dolls so you would be forced to play football or video games

14. Whenever there is a mention about boys, he comes in being the stereotypical protective older brother

15. Those pointless never-ending fights

Having an older brother is for sure a love hate relationship and a unique experience. Yes, definitely an emotional rollercoaster and a few bumps and bruises along the way, but so much fun and worth the ride.

Love you Ry, thanks for putting up with me all these years.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
