I've reached the point in my life where I rarely listen to popular mainstream music. I almost exclusively listen to songs from musicals. I like the storytelling aspect attached to songs that progress a plot. I've come to find there is a showtune for every mood or occasion. Here's a list I've complied so you always have a song ready for every moment in life.

1. When you're about to go to a lit party

"Big Fun" - Heathers the Musical


"Halloween" - Be More Chill


2. When you just got back from the world's best first date and you think you might have caught the feels

3. When you like someone but they don't like you back

4. Or you're not sure if they like you

5. Or you don't even know if you want a relationship

6. When you're thinking about how much you appreciate your BFF

(Mostly kidding about those last two, but they are great songs.)

There's never a wrong time for musical theatre. There truly is a song for every occasions, far too many too list here, but hopefully this is a good start.
