Every current college student had a punk-rock or "alt" phase. If you say you didn't, you're probably lying. Music was the main reason you were sooooo not pop like all your other friends, who were so into the new T Swift and Katy Perry, you were different. Here are 15 songs that bring that circa 2010, alternative you out of hiding.

1. Thnks Fr Th Mmrs - Fall Out Boy

You were 13 and in 8th grade, but man when this song came on at 7:30 on Friday night at your monthly middle school socials, you screamed this like somebody hurt you.

2. All The Small Things - Blink 182

Tbh all your friends thought they were annoying, but you LOVED them.

3. I Write Sins Not Tragedies - Panic! At The Disco

Your mother cringed at you screaming the words "whore" and "goddamn" in the car. But you were an otherwise perfect, albeit slightly strange child, so she let it go.

4. Dear Maria, Count Me In - All Time Low

You weren't sure who Maria was, but you wanted to run away with her too.

5. Perfect - Simple Plan

Seriously, you were 13. WHO HURT YOU.

6. Don't Trust Me - 3OH!3

Another one mom wasn't overly fond of, but this one she'd actually yell at you for singing.

7. Poppin' Champagne - All Time Low

You actually weren't sure what this song was about, but you felt cool saying champagne.

8. Gives You Hell - All American Rejects

Again, with these alleged people who were hurting you.

9. MakeDamnSure - Taking Back Sunday

This one was a little more rock than most, but you loved screaming it.

10. I Don't Wanna Be In Love - Good Charlotte

Yes, you were SO in love with that boy in your grade, so you sang this song and thought of him.

11. Check Yes Juliet - We The Kings

This Romeo and Juliet story was vastly different from the one you were talking about in English Class.

12. Welcome to The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance

Your dad probably never even tried to take you to see a marching band, but this song spoke to you.

13. All I Want - A Day to Remember

Juuuuust emo enough that you weren't labeled as emo, but it was pretty emo.

14. Anything Paramore

Hayley Williams always screamed so you could get all of your angsty teen worries out with their music.

15. Only One - Yellowcard

This one was the peak of your broken heart angst.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
