The CW's hit TV show, "One Tree Hill," touched the lives of fans nationwide for nine memorable years. I first got hooked on OTH when I was in high school and have since watched the series twice more. Anyone who has watched this show understands it's about much more than basketball or high school drama; it's a show that makes you feel something and teaches you a lot about life.

Here are just a few of the life-changing moments OTH offered its fans:

In the first four seasons....

1. The first episode.

We were introduced to all of the characters and it sucked us in.

2. Haley and Nathan's first kiss.

The beginning of the best love story. Because of these two, we learn about what real love is. Their story taught me A LOT.

3. Jimmy Edwards and the school shooting.

I cry every time I watch this episode. It really showed me how our actions affect the people around us.

4. Dan kills Kieth.

This moment was absolutely heartbreaking. It opened my eyes and stressed the fact that, at any moment, anger and jealousy can take over and make you do and say things you'll regret for the rest of your life.

5. Lucas realizes he's loved Peyton all along.

Another amazing love story. This moment was incredible and made every fan feel like love was possible. It also made fans feel like, no matter what, the right person comes around. Even though Peyton and Lucas go their separate ways for a couple of years, they, again, find their way back in Season 5.

6. James Lucas Scott is born.

SO MUCH LOVE. The perfect couple finally got to meet their sweet baby.

7. Any moment with Skills.

Almost always the comic relief of the show, Skills Taylor taught me to live life and laugh a lot.

The last five seasons...

8. Brooke comes home for love and happiness.

Flash forward four years: Brooke is famous, rich, and successful. But, she's not happy. Her decision to come home to One Tree Hill was inspiring. It taught me that, no matter what, I have to do what's best for me. Brooke's decision definitely paid off.

9. Quintin Fields is shot.

Another heartbreaking moment that proved life is never guaranteed and that the good really do die young.

10. Dan dies and is reunited with a forgiving Kieth.

Dan was always the antagonist of the series. Yet, when he dies, I always feel conflicted. He killed Kieth, but he helped Nathan make it to the NBA and brought him home. He was evil and vindictive, but sweet and comforting for Jaime and Lydia.

When Dan is reunited with Keith, Kieth forgives him. This taught me that it's never too late to forgive and that, even when someone hurts you really bad, it's okay to show them forgiveness.

11. Nathan makes it to the NBA.

It may take a little longer than expected, but dreams to come true if you believe in yourself 100%.

12. Clay and his former wife.

Clay was always scared that he would forget Sarah, but she was such an important part of his life. Their story was inspiring, and Clay's emotions were real. Clay soon meets Quinn, though. This taught me that, even though it really hurts sometimes, the pain is necessary to find happiness again.

13. Logan.

THE CUTEST BOY EVER. Logan taught me that I want a child equally as cute as him.

14. Logan and Quinn and Clay together.

The true definition of a blended family, Quinn was a superstar when it came to handling Clay's past and his son. They are goals.

15. Nathan comes home.

Nathan: "Hi Hales."

Haley: "Say that again."

Nathan: "Hi, Hales."

UGH! I was so relieved when they were together again. Nathan was always the man, and the character, who held so many of hs friends, and definitely his family, together. This taught me that I hope I could be as strong as Haley in their situation.

There are so many moments from each episode that changed how I felt about life, myself, and the world. But, these 15 moments were the ones that stood out to me. Always and forever.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
