So it's February. Christmas and New Years have passed and now we are trying to cling on to some semblance of a holiday. Inevitably on the fourteenth of February, there is a "holiday" that many people celebrate called Valentine's Day. Maybe you've heard of it. No matter what your feeling is towards it, use that day to celebrate whatever you want because its what everyone else is doing. These are 14 of my personal go to's.

1. Galentine's Day

This is one that many probably already know about but nevertheless is a good option. Take the day to celebrate your friendships, male or female. I know my friends mean everything to me so take some time to tell them how much you appreciate them on what others may call Valentine's Day.

2. Eat 214 Chocolates Day

I may just be feeding into the stereotype of what Valentine's day is, but if the general majority are eating chocolate today then so should you. Feel free to eat however many you want. I just think it'd be fitting to eat 214 cause of the date and all.

3. Pick Yourself a Flower Day

If you see a flower pick it. You deserve it.

4. Eat a Whole Pizza Day

All I'm saying is why not? Order one from your favorite pizzeria or Domino's and feast it up. Cheese or the works just make sure you eat the whole thing.

5. Pet a Dog Day

This is "supposed" to be a day about love right? Well, there is no better way to show affection than petting a dog. Try it.

6. See 'Fifty Shades Freed' Day

I don't know about you, but doesn't twilight fanfiction turned cringe novel turned blockbuster movie sound so enticing on today of all days? No?!? Your loss.

7. Shopping Spree Day

Treat yourself.

8. Cupid Candy Corn Day

If you don't take the opportunity to eat a Halloween candy that has been differently colored to fit this day, you're just doing things incorrectly. Feel free to eat the whole bag. Just know nausea will follow.

9. Normal Sized Teddy Bear Day

Take today to hug your normally sized stuffed animals. While other people may have a teddy bear so big it won't fit in the trunk of their car you have appropriately sized plush toys.

10. Take 214 Steps Day

This day is about you. Which is why you should limit yourself to minimal physical exertion. As soon as you reach 214 steps return to bed.

11. Watch 'Valentine's Day' Day

When I say watch I mean have on repeat all day.

12. Sit In A Flower Shop Day

Don't buy, but look.

13. Give Your Mail Man Sweethearts Day

It's a nice gesture and you can get rid of the ones someone obviously gave to you unless they're the Sweettart ones. Keep those.

14. Celebrate Romantic Relationships Day

You do you.

Happy February 14th!!!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
