It's the classic go-to movie when having a wine night with your ladies.

The sweet aroma of a freshly popped bowl of popcorn and cozy blankets to compliment the movie theater ambiance. Sassy, fierce, and witty, of course, 13 Going On 30 is our choice. Idolizing this very obvious chick flick, we see a glimpse of what it's like to be a thirteen-year-old living in a thirty-year-old's life. Yet, it's not this cookie cutter lifestyle our dreams convinced us it would be, this movie shows us exactly that. In life sometimes we are led astray, we lose sight of who we are and turn into someone we don't recognize. 13 Going On 30 told us from the very beginning to stay true to ourselves and always embrace our inner Jenna Rink.

So, here are all the times 13 Going On 30 taught each lady a valuable lesson to hold on tight throughout girlhood:

1. Never give up on your celebrity crush.

Hey, never give up hope. One day, and it will come, when you can sail the seas with Johnny Depp.

2. Always believe in magic and make your wish count.

There is only a select number of times the universes blesses you with a wish -- birthdays and shooting stars.Life is magical, always believe.

3. Sleepovers are meant for:

Mostly hair braiding, pigging out on every gas station junk food possible, and singing about those boys who will break our hearts.

4. Be fierce and stand up to any bully.

In life, whether it is when we are thirteen or thirty, we will encounter difficult people that just make us a little feisty. Knowing how to express confidence can show people what you stand for.

5. Work hard Miss Independent!!!

Hold onto that dream of being an aspiring journalist pondering article ideas off your balcony in Brooklyn, New York.

6. When the boys think they're smooth . . .

Woah, woah slow your roll.

7. You're never too old to test your swing jumping skills.

Am I the only one that has fallen flat on their face?

8. Always show off your quirky dance skills in public!

"Who's got the moves on the ice and off the ice ice baby" Whether you're singing in the showing or yelling your heart out in the car, don't be afraid to dance and enjoy yourself no matter the audience.

9. Be the leader people ask to make decisions.

Who says women can't do it all? Believe in yourself and your ability to conquer.

10. Praise the day your 21st birthday rolls around!

"If you like Piña Coladas and getting caught in the rain."

11. This is the only way to greet your friends!

Hey, you're my best friend and you are always there for me -- it's not a question you're getting a hug.

12. Do what's best for your friends.

Even if it's hard, you always have to do what is best for your friends. Sometimes it's something they don't want to hear or sometimes it's saying goodbye. Always stay true.

13. Be sassy and always stay true to yourself!

ABOVE ALL ELSE, BE SASSY, BE PASSIONATE IN ANY VENTURE, AND TREAT OTHERS WITH THE KINDNESS AND RESPECT YOU HOPE TO RECEIVE IN RETURN.

Embrace your inner Jenna Rink!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
