1. January 22: National Hot Sauce Day.

Hot sauce is a universal condiment that can be found almost anywhere in the world. Celebrate by topping your food with hot sauce all day long. Maybe even try to make it yourself at home!

2. February 11: Don't Cry Over Spilled Milk Day.

Regrets rot the soul, so let them go. This is a great day to stop dwelling and start living. Holding onto regret is toxic and often adds more stress. Take advantage of this unofficial holiday, you won't regret it.

3. March 19: Let's Laugh Day.

Laughing isn't just fun, but super healthy. Laughing can burn calories, lower blood pressure, and boost the heart rate. So read some jokes or watch a Melissa McCarthy movie and let the laughter roll.

4. April 24: Poem In Your Pocket Day.

This a great day to encourage people to read, write and appreciate the art of poetry. Share your favorite poems with those in your life, and try writing a few originals.

5. May 6: Space Day.

Space. One of the most unknown and mysterious things to ever exist. Why not take a little extra time to read about our universe, and spend some time looking in a telescope.

6. June 2: Leave The Office Early Day.

You work hard, so you should reward yourself. Take a half-day from work, and do something for yourself.

7. July 31: Uncommon Instrument Day.

Sure we all know what a flute or a piano is, but what about a Contrabass Balalaika or Didgeridoo? Try to learn about different instruments and maybe pick one up and rock out.

8. August 9: Book Lover's Day.

A great excuse to buy the book lover in your life a nice gift certificate to B&B. Or if you're a book lover yourself, pick up a good book and enjoy yourself.

9. September 13: Positive Thinking Day.

Let the negativity go for 24-hours and just try to look at the bright side. Turn pessimism into positivism.

10. October 17: Wear Something Gaudy Day.

Why not pull out the boa you have sitting in your closet? On this day, it's fine to wear a ballgown to McDonald's.

11. November 15: Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day.

You know that you don't need that container of casserole you had last week. And no one has touched that bottle of ranch in at least six-months. Do it for your health.

12. December 8: Pretend To Be A Time Traveler Day.

Who hasn't wanted to go back in time? Put on some old movies and play some jazz. Let yourself be transported.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
