The Spanish language and how it is rolled off the tongue is filled with romance, flavor, and fire. When it comes to music, there are songs that can fill you with pride, tell you a story, or warm your heart. No matter what topic, these songs WILL get you on your feet and even if you're not going through it, it will make you feel some type of way.

1. "Obsession" by Aventura

The KOB always have you in some type of mood. It can be wanting to hold your man, tell your girl you love her or make you feel insecure. This goes for most of their songs but if you don't know this one, don't even talk to a Latina.

2. "La Vida Es Un Carnaval" by Celia Cruz

This song is not only one of my favorites to dance to but it sends a great message. Celia Cruz reminds people that the bad moments in life are NOT forever and things will get better. She's also saying to enjoy life and that people shouldn't be feeling low because there's always a way up.

3. "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom" by Selena

Of course, Selena had to make the playlist. There are way too many of her songs for me to choose the best so on this list, I'll just add the one most people are familiar with. Her songs are always so relatable and can put you in any mood depending on the lyrics.

4. "Oyer Mi Amor" by Mana

Mana is a band that has way too many hits to just narrow it down to one but if I had to, it would be this song.

5. "Oye Mi Canto" by N.O.R.E., Daddy Yankee, Nina Sky, Gemstar, Big Mato

This was another prideful Latino song and it was released in 2006. This was THE reggaeton song to play at every family function.

6. "La Rebelion" by Joe Arroyo

While salsa gets you on your feet every time, you might get lost in the rhythm of the music. This classic gets you moving but speaks the truth when you listen closely to the hard history in the lyrics.

7. "Suavamente" by Elvis Crespo

You would literally hear this at every family party. To this day, this song never fails to make it to everyone's playlist when there's a get-together or at a quinceañera.

8. "Rakata" by Wisin & Yandel

I'd narrow down their songs to this one. The DJ at my 2015 senior prom even played this. This is definitely an oldie but goodie.

9. "Bailamos" by Enrique Iglesias

Enrique will forever continue to steal our hearts. This hit was one of the many that were overplayed on the radio when I was maybe five years old. All our mamas were definitely blasting his music in the house.

10. "La Camisa Negra" by Juanes

I still catch myself singing this song from time to time. When I was younger, I would sing this with a hate for someone that I wasn't even dating...

11. "Gasolina" by Daddy Yankee

This man is like his music, timeless. I swear, he does not age. This song will be just the same. Play this wherever you want, whenever you want and I guarantee you that the Latinos will stop everything just to dance and sing along.

12. "Ella Y Yo" by Don Omar & Romeo Santos

I had to grow up to realize how intense this song actually was and for me to actually appreciate it.

There are so many other songs that could have also made this list but at that point, the list would be never ending.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
