Since Thanksgiving is just around the corner, I thought I would write down a few things that I'm thankful for! These things range from extremely important to just some things that make my life a little bit sweeter.

1. Family

Obviously family is important, but anyone that knows me also knows how attached I am to my family. Although my family is quite dysfunctional, they are also some of my best friends. "Blood makes you related, loyalty makes you family."

2. Friends

People that know me also know how much I truly love people. My friends are some of the most honest, beautiful, incredible people I have ever met. Experiencing life with them has brought me so much happiness. I am so grateful to have such amazing people constantly supporting me and loving me despite my many flaws.

3. Tacos

What a drastic shift, I know, but tacos are just so glorious. If i could eat tacos everyday for the rest of my life, I most definitely would. I'm honestly considering a taco bar at my wedding.. I know, I'm getting a little ahead of myself now, but who wouldn't love tacos at a wedding?!

4. God

Anyone who truly knows me knows that I hold my relationship with God extremely important. Although I have troubles and doubts, I am so blessed and thankful to have a God that loves and forgives unconditionally.

5. Music

I would literally go insane if I wasn't able to listen to music. When I'm stressed, when I'm upset, or when I need to stay focused, music is my thing. I think it's so beautiful that people are able to use their pain and passion to create such beautiful pieces.

6. Chicago

If you live here, sometimes you get so used to the beauty you're surrounded by, you forget to take it all in. Living in Chicago has truly shaped me as a person. From the buildings, to the people, Chicago has so much beauty that goes unnoticed; but I am so grateful to live here.

7. Books

Yes, I am a book worm- I love reading. The Harry Potter series in my opinion are some of the most fascinating books, and so well written. I think it's amazing that a good book can help you escape reality and submerge yourself into a far away place. Authors are some of the most creative and intelligent people out there, and their talents do not go unappreciated.

8. Sunrises

So many people underestimate the beauty in sunrises. I think sunsets are beautiful as well, but there is something so stunning, so breathtaking about a sunrise. Something about rolling out of bed, before most of the world is awake, to watch the day begin- the beautiful colors illuminating the sky. Sunrises are so underrated.

9. Babies

Okay but who doesn't love babies? They are just such little bundles of joy! Their laughs might be the most beautiful sound on the face of the earth- if you disagree then you must be Satan himself.

10. Candles

There are so many different combinations of scents and colors, I just love them. You want to feel like you're on a beach? Light a Piña colada scented candle. Missing the smell of Christmas mid August? There are plenty of pine, cinnamon or peppermint scented candles to do the trick!

11. Baseball

How are you American if you don't love baseball? From the overpriced hot dogs, to the under priced tickets, baseball teaches you to appreciate the little things. Only 128 more days until Opening Day!

"You can put it on the boaaarddd..... YES!"

I just thought it would be refreshing to not only share some of these things, but remind myself that I have so many beautiful things to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
