11 Things That Some People Still Do Not Understand

No matter how many times we tell them, some people still do not listen.

1. Drugs

They tell us in school to never do drugs. Some people still use them.

2. Alcohol

They tell us in school that you must wait until you are at the drinking age. Some people still drink when they are underage. They also tell us that drinking can cause mood problems and relationship problems. Some people still do so.

3. Sexual Intercourse

Parents tell their sons and daughters to save it until they get married. Some sons and daughters still do it before they get married.

4. Academics

They tell us in school that academics are important. Some people still do not believe that and end up with bad grades and a bad future.

5. Social Distancing

Now, we are living in the time of the pandemic. Some people still do not do social distancing.

6. Quarantine

They tell us to stay at home for fourteen days after traveling, testing, and being exposed to others who have the coronavirus.

7. Wear Masks

There is also a rule where everyone has to wear a mask. Some people still do not want to wear a mask. No matter how many times we tell them, some people still do not listen.

8. Attending Parties

Another rule is not having a party or exceeding the limit of people in a party. Some people still hold up a party during the pandemic. Also, some students in school or college still think parties are more important than their academics, goals, and health. They cannot stand other people having fun when they are not having fun.

9. Social Media

Everywhere we go, they tell us to be careful with what you post on social media. Some people still post lies, inappropriate things, hate speech, curse words, and things that can backfire at us in the future.

10. Violence / Crimes

Everywhere we go, they tell us that violence never solves anything and makes things worse. Some people still use violence and ruin the lives of others. Some people still commit crimes and become criminals.

11. Racism / Discrimination

Everywhere we go, they tell us that racism and discrimination are wrong. Some people still do not agree.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
