11 Signs You Surely Love Christmas Just As Much As Santa Clause

If you are anything like me as soon as the clock strikes midnight on November 1, you instantly grow reindeer ears and throw up candy canes. Don't get me wrong, I love Halloween. Getting my spook on is one of my favorite things in the world. But the moment Halloween is over I go into Christmas mode. There's no doubt in my mind the reason I love Christmas so much is that my mom is pretty much Mrs. Clause herself. In our household my mom starts playing Christmas music on November 1, we have three Christmas trees that are put up before Thanksgiving and don't take them down until mid-January. So clearly, Christmas is a pretty big deal at my house.

I just love the feeling of Christmas and how it seems to transform people. I love that people tend to be more generous and caring during the weeks leading up to Christmas. I think Christmas time just makes people well, better people. I guess that is why I try to make the Christmas season go on for as long as I possibly can.

If you also have a love for Christmas that is stronger than your love for most things then you might just be a crazy Christmas addict, and that is the best kind of addict in the entire world.

Here are 11 signs that you are Christmas's biggest fan.

1. November 1st = December 1st

As soon as the clock strikes midnight on November 1st all signs of being spooky are put away. Everything is Christmas. Christmas time is the only time that matters.

2. As soon as November hits you change the lock screen on your phone to something Christmasy

I seriously have a Pinterest board dedicated to Holiday-themed lock screens and I honestly have a hard time choosing which one to use. So, I usually end up changing my lockscreen about four or five times during the holiday season.

3. You bring out the ugly Christmas sweaters as early as possible

I enter Goodwill during the Christmas season more than I do any other time of the year. I am all about going thrifting and finding the most hideous Christmas sweaters humanly possible. The uglier the sweater the better.

4. You try to convince your friends to take a Christmas card picture

Lucky for me my friends are just as crazy as I am and would probably be so down for this. Of course, we would wear our ugliest of Christmas sweaters and dress up our cats.

5. Your heart starts to flutter when you see that Starbucks has their Christmas cups again

6. Once it's November Mariah Carey and Michael Bublé become your favorite artists

Let's face it, these two just know how to do Christmas right.

7. You get (kind of) excited to see all the Christmas time engagements

It makes you a little sad because it reminds you that you are very alone for the holidays, but you can't help but stare at all the pretty pictures of hands with big rocks holding Christmas Starbucks cups.

8. You have the ultimate Spotify Christmas playlist

I clearly have a thing for Ariana Grande Christmas music and Big Time Rush.

9. You want to do all the stereotypical holiday activities

You want to watch all the Christmas movies with your family, make hot cocoa and snuggle up by the fire, make Christmas cookies that probably won't end up tasting good and taking all the selfies in your Christmas pajamas.

10. You will waste all the gas in the world to go look at Christmas lights

My family has gone around looking at Christmas lights after buying hot chocolate for as long as I can remember. It pretty much is a staple part of it being Christmas and I will "waste" all the gas in the world to drive around because to me looking at some amazing Christmas lights will never be a waste.

11. Freeform (ABC Family) becomes your absolute favorite channel during December

You've seen all of these movies 100 times, but duh you're going to watch them again.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
