11 Reasons You Need More Concerts In Your Life

If there's one thing you need to do more in your life, it's to attend more concerts. There's nothing better than going to see your favorite artist or band perform a live show. Whether you're seeing them at an outdoor festival, an arena or just a small venue there's nothing quite like it. I already go to a good amount of concerts as it is, but my New Years resolution for 2017 is to attend more concerts than I did the previous year. Here's a few reasons why you need more concerts in your life.

1. The Atmosphere

Whether you walk through the venue doors or the gates at an outdoor show, there's nothing quite like it. All of your worries are replaced by the excitement of seeing your favorite artist or band. Everyone is there for the same reason you are.

2. The Social Aspect

One might think that waiting in line to get into a show is the worst part, or waiting the crowd for the show to start. You my friend are wrong. This could be one of the best parts. You're usually waiting for a pretty long time, so this gives you the chance to spark up a conversation with the people around you. Who knows, you might gain a new friend or two out of it.

3. Meeting Your Favorite Artist

A lot of times if bands are playing smaller venues or festivals they'll come out to meet and hangout with their fans. This is less likely if you're attending a concert at an arena but you never know.

4. Nostalgic Purposes

Just think of all those bands that you listened to growing up. Now, you finally get the chance to actually go and see them. It's one of the best feelings standing in a crowd surrounded by people with that same feeling you have.

5. Health Benefits

It's been proven that people are just generally happier when they're at a concert. There's just so many good vibes floating around it's hard to not be happy!

6. A Reason to Be Yourself

Being at concerts gives you the ability to just be you without worrying about someone judging you. Let loose, have fun and just be yourself!

7. Spending Time With Friends

A concert is the perfect place to bond with your friends. Make the most of your time together at a concert and make some memories that'll last a lifetime.

8. Seeing An Artist You've Never Heard of Before

Most times when you go to a concert, there's always more than just one band playing. Most of the time the bill will consist of three or four bands. Sometimes smaller bands get the chance to prove their worth and open up the show. Who knows, maybe you never heard of them and they end up gaining a new fan after their set.

9. Supporting Locals

When you go to a concert, it doesn't always need to be a huge band that everyone knows. You can go out and support your local artists too. Most city bars have entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. Next time you don't have any weekend plans go watch a local band. They have just as much, if not more fun than the bands that you're paying money to see.

10. Interaction With the Artist

Half of the fun of the concert is being able to interact with the artists or bands. Being able to scream the lyrics back to your favorite songs is such a rush! If you leave the concert and lost your voice, you did it right.

11. A Way to Escape

Attending a concert is just the best way to escape everything. When you get there to the concert all of your worries disappear.

Hopefully with all of these reasons you'll get out to some more concerts in your free time. Attending more concerts is one thing in life you'll never regret. So get on out there and enjoy some live music!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
