Southport is the location of the Nicolas Sparks novel Safe Haven and the movie was also shot in the tiny town. Every restaurant has a "Safe Haven Special" and the movie's signature poster can be found on every block. There are multiple film locations throughout town that are perfect for photo opportunities!
