11 Grey's Anatomy Moments that are Relative to College
  1. When you pull your first all nighter to cram in a paper, a few homework assignments, and study for a major test you have tomorrow.

Between club meetings, possibly sports, eating, sleeping and still trying to have a social life you end up losing your organization skills and now here you are typing up a paper at 4am, just praying it’s semi legible for the professor to read.

2. Arguing with your friends for hours about the perfect text to send back to that cute kid from your 9am class.

You could have easily just texted back the first thing that came into your mind but instead you and your friends become professional analysts for about an hour or two and try to decipher everything that he said to you because there just has to be some hidden meaning behind it.

3. And then there’s always that one moment that your roommate or friend pushes it just a teeny tiny bit too far sometimes and you kind of just…

It’s life, you are bound to bicker with the people that live in close quarters with you from time to time. Unlike your family, they haven’t lived with you your entire life so you probably have different ways of going about the things that you do, and that’s quite alright.

4. You also have those days where you just sit in the library trying to retain information that just seems like it’s never going to come to you

And let me tell you, sometimes it feels like a never ending cycle

5. Or those Saturday and Sunday mornings where you decide to take a peek at what you posted on Snapchat even though you and I both know that it probably wasn’t a good idea

Embarassment bar has been raised

6. When you start talking to a new guy but you’re not sure where it’s going (or if it’s even going anywhere at all) and your friends start interrogating you about him

Please, how many questions can you ask me in a matter of 5 minutes… I might as well be getting interrogated by cops

7. This one’s pretty self explanatory if you ask me

no questioning this one

8. When you’re extremely confident in all the material that you’ve been cramming for all week

May the odds be ever in your favor.

9. Because we all have those days where we need a little extra push

Even if it’s just to get out of bed sometimes you need someone to give you that extra kick. After all, you don’t have your parents to get you up every morning anymore.

10. And then finals week hits

Once again, may the odds be ever in your favor

11. To celebrate the end of finals week you decide to go out and end up like this the next morning

It happens, life happens. Now that you’re done the countdown until next year is about to start. Bring it on!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
