People's Magazine named its sexiest man alive for 2017, and it was Blake Shelton.

Blake is certainly a very attractive man, and well talented musician. What myself and many others found disappointing was that People named yet another white man as the sexiest man alive for the 31st time out of 33.

Show business, TV, movies, music -- all parts of popular culture are dominated by white people. There's nothing wrong with this, but when it seems as though the same blue eyes, blond haired people get praised rather than their black coworkers, then there’s a problem. There’s more to acting than the Channing Tatum's and Brad Pitt’s.

From Idris Elba to Morgan Freeman, here are 11 black men who should be appreciated.

1. Michael B. Jordan

On a scale of 1-10, how attractive and talented is Michael B Jordan? He broke that scale.

2. Barack Obama

President Obama is that one ex we took for granted, but now miss him. Please come back.

3. Donald Glover

Producers Guild of America Award winner, actor, momedian, musician, producer, and director.

4. Michael Ealy

Whether he's playing the lovesick leading man or sensitive thug, this green-eyed babe is irresistible.

5. Shemar Moore

I'll be the first to admit, my Criminal Minds obsession started because of Moore's character Derek Morgan.

6. Jesse Williams

McSteamy who? Dr. Avery Jackson: Chief of Plastic Surgery and Chairman of Grey Sloan Memorial.

7. Prince

From his curls to his heels, Prince's androgynous style influenced fashion. Even I don't look good in heels, and his eyeshadow is blended better than yours.

8. Idris Elba

A concept: Idris Elba as the next Bond. I understand he couldn't do it because of scheduling and blah blah blah, but just imagine, the first black James Bond!

9. Morgan Freeman.

Morgan Freeman is God. There's no other way to explain how he's looked the same since I was a baby.
