100 Little Things To Live For When You Feel Like Giving Up

I have to admit, sometimes life feels overrated. When my mental health issues are particularly bad, the stress and monotony of daily life are enough to fill me with utter despair. When combined with anxiety about the future and the chaos of the world around me, I can sometimes get stuck in a pit of hopelessness.

Sometimes it's the big things that keep me going, such as my family and my partner, but more often than not it is the little things that get me through. It's okay if sometimes the only thing that is keeping you alive is your favorite song or cuddling with your kitty at night. Mental health issues like anxiety and depression are complex and often need lifelong management, but if you can find some small things to hold on to on the hard days, it will be just a little bit easier to make it through.

I encourage you to make your own list of things you love to look at when you are struggling. Keep it in your notes app on your phone to look at whenever you are having a bad day. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is.
