10 Ways You Know You're Ready For The Semester To End

1. Studying for five minutes feels like an hour.

And writing a paper? Forget it.

2. Coffee is running through your veins.

Well, more than usual.

3. The walls of the library have become your own personal hell.

Just the smell of that building makes you feel physically sick.

4. You have no dining dollars or meal swipes to get food on campus.

So you are constantly begging your friends to help you out, and you try to sneak you into the dining hall.

5. You are missing your bed at home a little more than usual.

Because there's nothing better than getting into a bed your mom made, with warm, flannel sheets.

6. You are finding more and more distractions to procrastinate.

I was going to study for my exam, but then I cleaned my room eight times, cooked a five-course meal, and backpacked around Europe.

7. But you have so much more work than usual.

I am now the master of multitasking.

8. Emotional breakdowns occur on a daily basis.

Sorry, professor, just ignore the tear stains on my paper.

9. The effort you put into your outfits is at an all-time low.

Sweatpants, hair tied, chillin' with no makeup on.

10. As much as you love your school, you can't wait to get the hell out of here.

Because all I want is my family, real food, and a break. Is that too much to ask for?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
