10 Times Rachel Green Was Actually Me

At the end of the day, we all have a little bit of Rachel inside of us.

Everyone has their favorite "Friends" character, but I am convinced that Rachel Green and I may be the same person...

1. You are the most indecisive, last minute person and making decisions stresses you out.

I am not one to procrastinate, but making big, life-altering decisions always stresses me out. So, what I do to avoid this problem of mine is to simply push all of my important tasks off until the last minute. Because, at the end of the day, I know I’m going to get everything done. It’s usually just a matter of when I decide to do it.

2. You’re overdramatic more times than you think.

If you are to ask anyone in my family or any of my friends, they’d confidently tell you that I am the most dramatic person they know. I constantly blow things out of proportion and I make simple situations seem worse than they actually are. Instead of rationalizing things, I over dramatize them. But, that’s okay, I like being dramatic. It constantly makes my life interesting.

3. You get angry over the little things.

As a teenage girl, it’s not uncommon for my temper to act up in certain situations. And, just like Rachel, I have my moments.

4. You are incredibly sarcastic when not all of your friends are.

My personality is incredibly sarcastic. I’m usually always incredibly quick to make a witty or sarcastic comment when someone says something. Sometimes, people understand my sarcasm, but I often come across someone who has no idea what I’m talking about.

5. You have your immature moments

I know I’m not “technically” a kid anymore, but, honestly, I still think I am. I think that I’ll use my college years as my last chance to be immature before I actually get into the real world.

6. You don’t really have your life together, but that’s okay—most of us don’t.

I know I’m not the only one who things college is going by so fast. And, because of that, I feel that I’m running out of opportunities. I didn’t expect life to go by as fast as it is. Because of this, I feel like I don’t have my life together. But, Rachel Green always taught me that you don’t have to start off successful to end up being successful.

7. Your friends are everything to you.

One thing about me is that I love my friends more than anything in the world. I go to them for almost everything and they are the first people that I want to tell good news to. I think that having good friends in life is one of the most important things. My friends, for one, always make me happy and they always give me something to do. Without my best friends in my life, I wouldn’t be who I am.

8. You shop to fix all of your problems

I am the definition of a shopaholic. Since I am the world’s biggest procrastinator, I constantly find myself on multiple online clothing websites, adding different things to my basket. And, if I’m not online shopping, I’m almost always at the mall. It’s a great way to relieve stress and free me of my worries.

9. You sometimes cry for no reason, but we all have our moments

Again, I’m dramatic. I blow things out of proportion. Sometimes, I cry for absolutely no reason and, when people ask me why I’m crying exactly, I can never give them an answer because I literally don’t know.

10. You constantly work hard for what you want.

At the end of the day, I think I relate so much to Rachel Green because we both work incredibly hard for what we want. We are both motivated people who chase for our dreams and don’t let the little things come in the way of our goals.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
