10 Things I've Learned From Being In A Relationship For Two Years
Daelyn Josefak

Being in a relationship for two years now, I have definitely learned a lot about relationships, love and life in general. I have matured and grown a lot, learning so many things about both myself and my boyfriend along the way. Here are ten of the most important things I've learned:

1. Relationships can be hard work at times.

Relationships require an equal amount of effort from both sides and you need to constantly take the other person's feelings into consideration. Even if relationships get tricky at times, they're always worth it.

2. Communication really is key.

Although it's easy to assume my boyfriend knows how I'm feeling, my boyfriend is not a mind reader and the best way for him to understand what I mean or how I'm feeling is to simply tell him.

3. Compromising is the best way to go.

When you have completely different ideas about how you want to spend your night, it's best (and sometimes easiest) to compromise and find a middle ground that you'll both be content with.

4. Be honest about how you feel.

Sometimes you want to hold back your feelings to avoid a conversation about it, but in the end, holding things in won't be good for either of you.

5. It's the little moments that really mean the most.

Relationships aren't about the gifts your significant other buys you or the dates they take you on. Of course, those things are so nice and appreciated, but what really counts are the small things they do on a daily basis, like sending you a goodnight text or making you smile.

6. If you can't be your true self around them, then you're not with the right person.

It's important for you to feel comfortable being your absolute weirdest and grossest around your significant other. What's the point of being with someone if you have to stress about how you're acting and what you look like all the time?

7. Always do whatever you can to make their day better.

Whether it's bringing them their favorite breakfast or wishing them luck before their test, putting a smile on their face will always be the most rewarding feeling.

8. A little appreciation goes a long way.

I always try to remind my boyfriend how much I appreciate him and everything he does for me because I don't want him to ever forget how grateful I am to have him.

9. There is still so much to learn about each other.

There are still stories we don't know from each other's childhoods and foods we don't know the other absolutely can't stand. The good thing is, we have forever to learn and share every last story and fun fact.

10. The best is still yet to come.

Although we've had incredible times and made such amazing memories, there are still so many places left untraveled and memories left to create. I can't wait to experience everything new with you - two years down, many more to go.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
