I'm sure the last thing we all need is more ways to procrastinate midterms, papers, and presentations, but sometimes we just need a little break. Here are 10 sites that will help revive you from mind-numbing school work and help you take a minute to de-stress!

1. Google Street View.

A great way to waste time is by exploring all the places you're too broke to go to! If just wandering around isn't you're style, try playing Geoguessr, a great game using Google Street View that drops you somewhere in the world and your objective is to figure out where you are! It's a lot of fun to see how close to your exact location you can get.

2. StumbleUpon.

When you first make an account (you can connect it to your Facebook!), it will ask you what categories you like to see, and from then on, it's easy! The site will generate new things based on your interests with the click of a button. Everything from music to articles to videos and games!

3. The Onion.

This site is the place to go if you need some dry humor in your day. This blatantly sarcastic site takes from current events and creates hilariously satirical articles for your enjoyment. A great way to take a break from your work and have a chuckle!

4. Ocearch Shark Tracker.

This site lets you track the movement of tagged sharks from around the world. All the sharks have names and you can see everywhere they've gone in the past year! A great way to waste some time and see what your shark friends are up to.

5. Rainy Mood.

One of my favorite websites! Rainy Mood is a great way to calm down after a stressful day or particular assignment that has you pulling out your hair. Layer it over your music or listen to it on its own to take a few minutes to relax.

6. Bored Button.

This website is fantastic for when you're truly bored out of your mind. Click the bored button to be redirected to tons of sites that will keep you entertained for all of five minutes. Then click the Bored Button again and find something new!

7. Hacker Typer.

This website will take any random typing and keyboard tapping and make it look like you're typing code and doing some casual hacking on your computer. Very silly, very entertaining!

8. Don't Even Reply.

Having a bad day? Make yourself feel better by reading e-mails between internet trolls and their (mostly) innocent victims! Great for a pick-me-up during your lunch break. Misery loves company, right?

9. Weave Silk.

Not only is this fun, it's terribly satisfying! Weave Silk lets you play with lights and make beautiful symmetrical patterns and lovely works of art. Play with color blending, symmetry, and light with this addicting and mesmerizing website.

10. This Is Sand.

This game lets you play with colored sand to make gorgeous murals on your screen! Make any color you can think of and layer them on top of each other to entertain yourself with, yes, sand.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
