10 Moments From 'Clueless' That Spoke To You

Because we've all been a Cher, Dionne — or even a Tai.

For those of you who haven’t seen the best 90’s movie, “Clueless” I highly recommend you stop what you’re doing right now and watch it. (Also, I’m disappointed in you for just now doing so.)

If you have experienced witnessing the Iconic Cher Horowitz and her entourage thrive in Beverly Hills with a few rough patches, you know that we have all been in similar situations. Except, maybe not the whole falling in love with your ex-stepbrother. (Young Paul Rudd is a 10/10 though.)

1. I’ll start off with the most memorable “UGH AS IF” quote when Cher is approached by some dudes. I’m sure there has been a time when someone creepily hits on you, or just makes a comment where you feel the need to say/think this lovely phrase.

2. When Cher fails her driving test, everyone around is pushing her away, and feels as if she can’t do anything right. I know that I have been in the same boat, and so have many others who felt like Cher in this scene.

3. Also, when we are feeling down we pull a Cher as well by using the old fashioned shopping therapy. Nothing a little shoes or dress can't fix.

4. When Cher has to come up with a last-minute speech in class, and ends up bullsh**ting it, and getting a round of applause at the end. You are lying if you have not pulled a stunt like that before.

5. Dionne and Cher play matchmaker with their two teachers Mr. Hall and Miss Geist in order to make them happier. I have definitely played the cupid role a couple times too, just didn’t get a better grade out of it.

6. Cher has her eyes set on a new boy in class, and tries her absolute best to get his attention, even in the slightest ways. She basically subtweeted him, but 1995 style.

7. Cher eventually got the boys attention, attempted to impress him, but then ended up looking stupid in the end. I think everyone has done this at least a couple, a few, or ten times.

8. Oh, yeah, and one of the ways Cher tried impressing him was with baking. You've most likely tried to become a Paula Deen for a guy only to end up having to order a pizza instead.

8. Tai (Rip Brittany Murphy) is a new student and wants to fit in right away, taken under Cher and Dionne's wing. At a party Tai takes a giant L by falling on her a**, kinda like you did on that elevated surface at SAE.

9. Tai does have a record of rallying and to keep dancing the night away. Sort of like you when you fall but then brush it off, and continue singing along to Mr. Brightside.

10. I think the most relatable moment of all is when Cher finally realizes what she wants has been right in front of her this whole time.

I know you probably don't have a machine that picks out your clothes for you, or maybe even live the high-life in California, but I hope you got the gist of these life resemblances.

Now, go watch "Clueless"if you haven't.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
