For all you "Gossip Girl" fans out there, Blair Waldorf is well-known for her ferocity, powerful work ethic, determination, and sense of style. She goes after what she wants, and she is not going to let anyone stand in her way. Although she was quite deviant on the show, she always seemed to shine through with her persistence. Here's 10 reasons why I aspire to be Blair Waldorf.

1. She doesn't give up on anyone.

No matter who it was in her life, Blair never gave up on anyone. This quality is best seen with her love story with Chuck. Regardless of all they had been through, and the pain they may have caused each other, she still loved Chuck. They see it through until the end when they end up happily married. Never giving up is a rare, but great trait to possess.

2. Her sense of style is impeccable.

Even though at first she didn't want to run Waldorf Designs, Blair has an eye for fashion throughout the series. From daytime wear of her Constance Billard uniform, to nighttime ballgowns at parties and soirees, she's prepared from head to toe. Although her style isn't always suited for daily life, Blair reminds us to always look our best.

3. She's honest, maybe brutally honest.

One of Blair's not-so-great parts of her personality is her honesty. If she had a problem with someone, she didn't ever have a filter. She told it how it was and then some. Although it was overboard at times, honesty is an honorable thing to be.

4. She is supportive of her friends no matter what.

Blair was a great best friend to Serena, regardless of how their relationship was at times. She supported Serena's endeavors even if it meant sacrificing the spotlight. She gave great advice, and was there to comfort Serena in times of need. Blair never left Serena's side.

5. Her work ethic is unmatched.

From the time she attended Constance, to the time she was the CEO of Waldorf Designs, Blair worked hard to achieve her goals. Unfortunately, sometimes it resulted in manipulation to get there, but she never stopped until she got what she wanted. This work ethic can be comparable to the American Dream - you earn what you work for.

6. She's a great problem-solver.

When scheming arose, Blair was a key component in solving a mystery or a problem. She was a master-mind, and it is a gift of hers. A great example of this is when she cracked the code to Diana's planner.

7. She sees the good in people.

Along with not giving up on people, she saw the good in them. Blair tirelessly attempted to bring out Chuck's good side when he was in darkness, and she became fond of Dan's mannerisms that once annoyed her. Whoever it was, they may not have deserved Blair's kindness, but they got it anyway.

8. She aspires to be a class act.

Blair never accepted anything less than perfection. She had terrific manners, good taste, and high standards. She became disappointed in herself when she wasn't living up to her expectations, and immediately tried to fix it. She sought aide in her role models, which include Marie Antoinette, Grace Kelly, and Audrey Hepburn.

9. Her love was endless.

Once Blair fell in love with Chuck, she never stopped loving him. Even when they drifted apart, they fell back together. Her faith in him is something that I've never seen. When I do find someone, I want to love him as strongly as Blair loves Chuck.

10. She accepts her devious side, and uses it to her advantage.

Blair knew that she wasn't everyone's favorite at times, and she accepted it. She told her mother that her dark side can motivate her fashion choices for the company, and so she did. She did people many favors with her crazy, complicated plans. She rather would be hated for who she is than admired for who she isn't.

Blair may not be everyone's favorite character, but those are some of the reasons why she's mine. I aspire to incorporate some of these qualities into my own life.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
