10 Reasons Why You're Not Studying On A Sunny Day

Look outside. It is 70 degrees and beautiful. The sun is shining, people are out on the town, and it is ice cream season again. However, you are not loving this weather because you are inside of the library, studying for finals, or writing that paper that you really should have started last week. You know that you are going to give up fairly soon and frolick outside. Don't play any games, you know that you aren't going to do your homework. These are the reasons why you probably are going to panic on Monday morning in order to finish that paper that you put off all weekend.

1. Everyone's wearing really cool outfits. You are too busy checking out everyone's clothes to do your homework. Maybe you should go shopping?

2. It's so warm outside. There's nothing like ice cream to cool you down.

3. That darty has a pool! It is kind of gross, but the idea of it is pretty cool.

4. All your friends are out and about. You know what they say about peer pressure.

5. It's a beautiful day to go on a long walk. It isn't a complete waste because you're being fit.

6. Your music playlist isn't meant to be listened to while you're doing homework. It is a pump-up playlist and nothing gets you excited like the sun.

7. You just bought a sweet pair of sunglasses. It is time to show them off.

8. If you're going to do your homework, you need coffee ASAP. It's warm, so you might as well get iced coffee and, while you're at it, you should sit at the tables outside and watch the people.

9. You are going to continue to look pasty in the library. You might as well go outside and attempt to get a little color.

10. No one ever wants to do homework.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
