"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."

If you haven’t seen the 2014 live action story of this villain, you should definitely watch it. Basically, the movie circles on the story of Maleficent, why she cursed Aurora, and so on. The Moors was the fairy kingdom, and the other was ruled by humans. Long story short, her boyfriend, Stephan, cut off her wings while she was sleeping and brought them to his dying king in order to be his successor. He then married the king’s daughter, and they eventually had a baby, which they named Aurora. Maleficent shows up to the christening to curse baby Aurora to punish Stephan, saying that the only way to awaken her from her everlasting sleep is with "true love's kiss". Maleficent realizes that she wants to revoke the curse, but it is too strong. Then there is a show down the night that Aurora pricks her finger on the spinning wheel and falls asleep forever.

1. Angelina Jolie was amazing.

Casting her as this villain was a genius move on Disney's part.

2. She taught us that true love is a real thing, and it doesn't require boys to save us.

The whole reason that she cursed Aurora the way she did was because she didn't think that such a thing as "true love's kiss" existed. But when she starts to love Aurora, and eventually kisses her goodbye, she wakes her up. Maleficent shows us that true love isn't limited in a romantic way, and that sometimes all you need is family.

3. She has one of the greatest monologues ever.

I've memorized every word of this scene because it's that great.

4. She was a sassy brat at all times.

Everything she said to the king was either rude or sarcastic, and it was great. She acts exactly like any girl would to an ex-boyfriend.

5. She has the best cheek bones of all villains.

That definition is glorious, Maleficent.

6. She never stopped protecting her kingdom.

Even though she has a forest full of enchanted creatures to help her, she did a pretty good job all on her own.

7. She humiliated a king.

she told a king to shut up and beg to her in a castle full of subjects.

8. She has a back story.

Not a lot of villains have a movie all to themselves explaining their motives, but she had some pretty good reasons. Having your boyfriend slip sleep medicine into your drink to cut off your wings while you're passed out will do that to a person.

9. She's great at holding grudges.

She watched and made sure Aurora didn’t die in any other way than the way she planned. She even had to intervene a few times to ensure she lived to see 16, since the three faires in charge of raising her weren't very good at it, she was still wildly devoted to her personal vendetta.

10. She wasn’t COMPLETELY evil, just extremely pissed off.

Wouldn’t you be if your boyfriend cut off your wings just to further his career? But hey, she did redeem herself in the end. No more evil lime green evil curses from her!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
