October isn't far away which means it's time to grab your comfiest blanket, a mug of hot chocolate, a bowl of popcorn, and get some movies ready. There's plenty of amazing scary movies to watch out there, but here's a list of some of the best ones to get you in the right mood for Halloween!
1. "Hocus Pocus"
Would a Halloween movie list be complete without this one? I think not.
2. "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"
If you haven't seen this one yet, you're truly missing out. It's odd, it's shocking, the music is phenomenal, but most importantly it will leave you shivering in antici...pation.
3. "The Nightmare Before Christmas"
This one is great because you can watch it any time between October and December. It's another movie with an amazing soundtrack to match the already awesome story!
4. "Halloween"
I mean, the holiday is in the name. It's a given, you've just got to watch it.
5. "Sinister"
Sinister was one of the few more modern movies that actually scared me. Don't let the name Mr.Boogie trick you, he's absolutely terrifying.
6. "The Shining"
This movie is a psychological mind freak the entire time. Per usual Stephen King fashion, it'll have you feeling incredibly uneasy and on the edge of your seat the whole time .
7. "The Craft"
A movie I wish I would've watched earlier, The Craft gives you the perfect amount of witchery to get you in the spirit for Halloween!
8. "The Exorcist"
An oldie but a goody. The Exorcist may be well known for the pea soup that spews from her mouth, but it's a chilling movie to watch nonetheless.
9. "Poltergeist"
Another oldie but a goody. Poltergeist takes the typical American dream and shatters it to a million pieces in this horrifying film.
10. "The Blair Witch Project"
Personally, this one is in my all time top three favorite horror movies. It was made on a low budget, but what's scarier than getting lost in the woods at night looking for a witch?
