It's already November, and now Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner. Some people have already commenced their holiday shopping.

However, for the many of us who are not quite the early birds with Christmas shopping, here are some gift ideas that college girls, in particular, would be eternally grateful to receive.

1. Cash.

You can never go wrong with cold hard cash. No need to buy those Vanilla Visa gift cards with those pesky fees. Besides, there are still some merchants that do not accept credit or debit cards or have a minimum charge required to use a card. Cash is a gift that you can give anybody so that they can use it however they wish.

2. Tuition and fees.

You can also not go wrong by providing us with some much needed financial aid. The fewer student loans that we will have to pay back after we finally graduate, the better.

3. Apple Music subscription.

Buying every single song you want to have in your iTunes library is so 2015. For $4.99 a month for students with a valid school email address, you can enjoy millions of songs for no additional cost.

4. Starbucks gift cards.

We have to stay awake for our 8 am classes and our all-nighters somehow. Starbucks is fantastic, especially with their seasonal flavors like chestnut praline and pumpkin spice, but it can also become a rather expensive habit.

5. Blankets.

Blankets are an inexpensive and comfortable way to help keep us warm on those cold and snowy nights where our regular bedsheets just might not be warm enough for us.

6. Tile.

If you are like me and misplace things such as keys rather often, then you need Tile in your life. With four different types to choose from, you will certainly be able to find one that bests fit your needs. These lifesavers come in single and multipacks.

7. Quarters (and probably dimes and nickels as well).

Whether we want to grab a quick drink from a vending machine or we need to do a few loads of laundry, we will need to have some change on hand in order to pay for that.

8. Food.

Whether you decide to buy some snacks and groceries for us or even just adding some money to our meal cards, each and every contribution to our food budget will be appreciated. Ideally, we would like to have more than just ramen in our daily diet.

9. Makeup.

For those days where we want to make some more effort to look a little bit nicer, we could always use some fresh makeup. Even something as simple as eyeshadow or mascara will do.

10. Amazon Gift Cards.

You can buy anything on Amazon, including some college textbooks, and with their Prime membership being 50% off for students with a valid email address, you bet we are going to want to take full advantage of it while we can.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
