Fall is most definitely one of my favorite seasons, especially after a long, hot summer. The weather, the beautiful colors of the changing leaves, Halloween, and more set an entirely different mood during this season. So, here's a list of my ten favorite things about fall to help you get into this season.

1. Hot Drinks

I love getting to sit and hang out in the colder outdoors with a hot drink like coffee, hot chocolate, etc. It warms you up and it makes everything feel cozier. Starbucks and hot chocolate are literally my best friends in the fall.

2. Scarves, Sweaters, Leggings, & Hoodies

The styles and clothing options for fall are SO much better and more comfortable. You can look cute but feel super comfortable at the same time. Once again, more cozy. I love wearing an over-sized sweater with some leggings, boots, and a cute scarf.

3. Pumpkin Patches, Hay Rides, Apple Picking

One of my very favorite things to do during the fall is to go to a pumpkin patch near my town and pick out my favorite pumpkin to carve for Halloween. This has always been a family tradition for me and my family, and it's one of my favorites. It's so fun getting all the seeds and goop out of a pumpkin and then carving it to look however you want. You can be super creative with it! Hay rides are super fun, and apple picking is awesome because you get to bring home different kinds of delicious apples!

4. Haunted Houses

This has to be my favorite thing about fall and Halloween. It's super fun getting to go to and go through a haunted house with a bunch of your friends and family. Whether you like getting scared or not, it gets your adrenaline pumping and it gets you into that scary and creepy mood for Halloween! If you don't like going through haunted houses, you can always work in a haunted house. I prefer this because I think it's even more fun getting dressed up to look terrifying and getting to scare people. Plus, it's not as scary for you, it's more fun.

5. Scary Movies

Don't get me wrong, I'm always up for a scary movie any day. Although, watching scary movies during the fall while Halloween is happening is the best. Plus you get to watch all the awesome Halloween movies some of us used to watch as kids like all of the Halloweentown movies, Hocus Pocus, Casper the Friendly Ghost, and more.

6. Festivals

There are tons of festivals going on during the fall with hundreds of different activities like horse riding, face-painting, pumpkin painting, rides, haunted houses, good food, and more! It'd be fun to see how many different festivals you could attend. You could put that on your fall bucket list!

7. The Pumpkin House

If you haven't heard of the pumpkin house, you definitely need to check it out. Located in Kenova, West Virginia, this house is literally covered in thousands of differently carved pumpkins. It's amazing to see, and it's super fun to visit. I've gone almost every year with y family and so do tons of other people from all over just to get a look!

8. Corn Mazes

Corn mazes are another super fun part about fall. There are so many different kinds of corn mazes too, like regular corn mazes, haunted corn mazes, and even paintball corn mazes.

9. Trick-or-Treat

Trick-or-treat is perhaps one of the most widely known things about fall and Halloween because this is what almost every family does during the week of Halloween. Kids get to dress up in a scary or non-scary costume and walk around and get FREE CANDY.

10. Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and this is an amazing time for everyone to come together to support all of those who either have breast cancer or had breast cancer. There are many activities held for this, like Race for The Cure, The Pink Run, and Party in Pink.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
