It's the start a new year, a chance to wipe the slate clean and change your whole life if you want to. Regardless of what you plan to do with your new year, chances are you are going to document it somewhere. It's just the tale of times, where we have to document everything we do on social media. So here are 7 song lyrics you can make your caption to celebrate the New Year!

1. "We're going to party like it's ~2019~"

It might not be the exact lyric, but it's totally okay to be innovative and clever. Plus, you can never go wrong with that Prince classic.

2. "But I'll be cleaning up bottles with you on New Year's Day"

A list like this wouldn't be complete without at least one Taylor Swift lyric. This lyric would go perfect with a picture of you and a friend(s), family, or even a significant other.

4. Always bring a charger or headphones wherever you go.

5. Don’t miss out on the free food on campus.

6. You don’t always need to dress up…Trust Me!

9. The Freshman 15 is REAL! Don’t brush it off!
