Sleep,

I don't know what I did to make you not like me at night. During the day you just want to be my best friend, but as soon as the moon comes out you are nowhere to be found. I have never taken you for granted, well maybe when I was a child but why hold a grudge for that long? I know you, and I could be the best of friends if you would just let me show you. The bonding that could take place if you were to come and visit me for at least six hours every night is unimaginable. You and I could have the best relationship in the history of relationships if you would just let me show you.

When you don't come and visit me every night, it makes me angry. I spend hours tossing and turning trying everything there is to try on Pinterest to help me sleep and yet nothing works. You leave me to my thoughts, and trust me I get enough of those during business hours, I do NOT need any more time for them. Then when I start watching a movie or television show, you decide to come at the best parts making me miss them only to try and find them again the next day.

Can you please tell me what I did to upset you so much that you don't want to spend time with me anymore? My occasional naps are not enough time with you. We used to be such great friends need I remind you. We would spend hours together day and night; it didn't matter where we were or who we were with, as long as we had each other. Please come back to me. I miss you more than you will ever know.
