Which Side Are You On Of These 10 Unpopular Opinions?

Everyone has their opinions about literally everything. Fashion, music, food, the list goes on. But a lot of the time, people's opinion is honestly unpopular with the majority of people. Which got me thinking, what are some people's unpopular opinions? What do some people hate that other people love and vice versa?

So I gathered up my friends and family and asked them what their unpopular opinions are. Honestly, I got a huge variety of answers.

1. Grape jelly is better than strawberry.

I hate to admit this, but this is a huge debate between me and some of my friends. It always comes us three vs. two. Grape jelly wins every time. So, this is an opinion I always get behind.

2. Pineapple belongs on pizza.

Now, this I cannot get behind. But this is honestly such a popular opinion more now than ever.

3. Staying in on the weekends rather than going out.

This one definitely has a huge split. I know people who go out every weekend and don't miss a beat. But I also know people who hate going out and prefer to just hang out at home. Then, there are the people who are the perfect mix of both.

4. Tequila is horrible.

I'm a tequila lover myself, so this is definitely unpopular for me. But I have friends who HATE tequila and would rather drink literally anything else.

5. Mashed potatoes are gross.

I'm sorry, what? I love mashed potatoes, but two of my friends hate them, like they refuse to eat them.

6. Birkenstocks are cute.

This is such a big split fashion trend recently. But honestly, you either love them or hate them.

7. Anything is better than going to the gym.

This is definitely another thing that splits pretty much down the middle. There are people out there who hate missing a day at the gym, but there are also people who dread actually going to the gym in the first place.

8. Chipotle is better than Pancheros.

Honestly, they're both good. But Chipotle is just way better. Sorry, not sorry!

9. Disney is for kids.

I'm sorry, what did you just say? I'm 23 and I live for a Disney vacation. It basically lets you be a kid for a week. But you also get to drink and do adult stuff, too, so it's the best of both worlds.

10. Ketchup on eggs.

Personally, I eat ketchup on everything, so eggs are no exception. But I know people who absolutely hate it, period, but especially on eggs.

Now you may hate all of these, love all of these, or fall somewhere in the middle. But all it shows is everyone is different. Everyone likes something different, and everyone has different opinions. That's what makes life so great, right?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
