By the end of second semester of my freshman year, I’ve developed a very bittersweet feeling. On one hand, I’m so excited to be home with my family and to see old friends. But at the same time, I don’t want to leave college either, and know how much I’m going to miss being here! Here are some of the most typical thoughts I can already tell I’m going to have all summer:
1. It feels so weird driving here again! Let’s pray I don’t do anything stupid!
2. I already miss college and I’ve been home for 3 hours…
3. Wait, Mom… Are you saying I can’t be home at whatever time I want?
4. Is anyone hiring? Anyone?
5. What do you mean I can’t use my Dining Dollars? Is this a joke?
6. Oh… now I know what happened to that person!
7. I’m so excited to finally be reunited with all of my old friends!
8. Who all can I manage to strategically avoid though until I go back to school? I need to make a list…
9. MUSIC FESTIVALS AND CONCERTS!
10. I need to spend as much time relaxing as possible before I go back.
11. Time to try and get back on a normal sleep schedule...
12. I’m so ready to be back on campus and reunited with everyone!
Summer may seem like a long time, but it’s going to fly by! Live it up, but be safe. Your hard work has paid off for hopefully a little bit of a break! You’ll be back at school again before you know it, have a great summer everyone!
