Sometimes it feels like the world is stuck in "The Twilight Zone." We seem to be out of touch with reality. The young generation needs to wake up and realize their decisions affect the world around them. We should be concentrating on making smart choices that are beneficial to all people and not just ourselves.

If we all neglect to pay attention to what is going on in society, we are never going to escape from this "Twilight Zone" that we have created until we stop acting selfishly. By developing friendships with other people, our lives can become easier by working together to overcome challenges.

Some of the things that will result from traveling outside of your environment are creating relationships and feeling satisfied with traveling someplace new. Research has shown that there are many different ways to meet and socialize with new people. By connecting with anyone who has similar interests, this can result in having a better understanding of other cultures. Education is a very important factor because if you have the knowledge about a place you will feel more comfortable speaking with the people that you meet there.

Life is like an object that requires balance.

Too much of something is harmful to our lives. Although there are problems that will get in the way and cause us stress, it's possible to live in the moment and make the most out of life. People might feel afraid to travel to other places and meet new people. It is important to get over these anxieties when it comes to traveling to a new place.

Although the world seems to be falling apart, there is still hope. If people traveled more, did research on other cultures, and developed new friendships, the world would be a more serene place to live.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
