5 Hair Dos And Hair Don'ts

You are better than that bad hair day. Stronger than that tangle. And cuter than every cowlick.

Hair Do: Use Product

Some people say product may damage your hair, but it is a risk we have to take. My favorite product to use is "Garnier Fructis Style Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk" which helps when I have too much volume. There is a thing of too much volume. All my thick hair friends, can I get an amen?

Hair Don't: Overheating

Twelve seconds max. No more, no less. Make sure to use your curlers and straighteners sparingly. Your ends will thank me later. We don't need to see smoke to know its working. No matter how hard it is to curl your hair.

Hair Do: Up Dos Are Always a Yes

Twist, twist, and swirl around. Whenever you are not feeling the day, grab a pony-tail holder and used that technique. Twist your hair, until it starts to roll around itself, then tie the band around it. Everyone has those days. (Yes, I did just have a "Hannah Montana" moment)

Hair Don't: Leaving the hair on the back of your head unstraightened.

I am sorry. I can't. Straighten your whole head. None of this, "just the front," type of thing. No. Just no.

Get a friend, let them straighten the back. If you pull out that straightener, you keep going. All the way. I am putting my foot down on this.

Hair Do: Volume is a good thing.

Yes, I said it. Volume is a good thing every once in a while. Even for me, a girl with some thick hair. I get it. We all want that straight edged sword hair like Kim Kardashian, but volume is nice to have. After you straightened your hair, grab some volume powder and pour a little in your roots. Plump up your hair just a little bit for that messy straight look for a night out. Notice I said, "After you straighten your hair." All the way. It will give you volume, and make sure that your pictures on Instagram on perfect.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
