Top 5 Myths about distilled water

Lots of people are searching for information about the distilled water on social media, online forums and one of 100 other places so sometimes it can really be very hard to find out the truth about specific subjects like for example distilled water. I have talked with Edvinas from Water On Top and we found 5 most common distilled water myths that some people believe.

Myth 1: Distiller Water is Active Carbon Dioxide Absorber

This is 100% Myth, distilled water is not carbon dioxide absorber. But it does not mean there is something to worry about it. In the air there is the water in the form of vapour. Pure water vapours are creating a weak bond with CO2 and it forms the Carbolic Acid. So you can say that the rain water is the same as distilled water because when it falls it creates the bond with CO2. However, it is not harmful for human.

Myth 2: You Will Have Problems Because Of Lack Of Minerals In Distilled Water

One more Myth is that distiller water is decreasing the level of nutritiousness in the food, especially when you cook food in distilled water. If you stream the food in distilled water instead of cooking, then it will be healthier. If you use purely distilled water, then it will contain any toxics. Well yes, minerals will be removed too but if your diet is balanced and full of vegetables, fruits, you should be fine. To maximize your nutritiousness you should definitely have daily habits to drink distilled water

Myth 3: Distilled Water has Flat Taste

Of course, distilled water has a different taste than the tap water. Your tongue buds are used to the taste of the chlorine, iron, fluoride, magnesium and other chemicals. So if you drink the distilled water, then it could be different for you at the beginning. Distilled water has no side effects on the human body, yes a human tongue will take time to get used to it. But once you will used to it, then after that you will taste the tap water, surely you will taste the chemicals and won't want to put it in you anymore.

Myth 4: Distilled Water does not kill VOCs (Volatile Organic Compound).

Volatile Organic Compounds are like fuel, herbicides and pesticides. Those are harmful for a human body. These compounds have lower boiling point than an ordinary water, that's why the Volatile Organic Compounds do not kill. All about the process of distillation and more you can learn on waterontop.com. VOCs has a strong impact on a human tongue, so when removing these compounds the charcoal filters are used.

Myth 5: Distilled Water Weaken your Teeth

There is a fact that if you drink the distilled water for a long time, then it will weaken your teeth. The water purifier salesman are lying, the distilled water will protect your health. Distillation will remove the fluoride from the water, and fluoride is essential for teeth. So for protecting your teeth, brush your teeth with the best toothpaste. A toothpaste has plenty of fluoride. So make sure to use it in limited amounts to stay healthy.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
